We stand on one leg in normal walking every day. Improve your standing balance in this Yoga-Pilates Fusion class by training a variety of Pilates inspired hip sequences followed by a complementary Yoga balancing posture. This full-body approach to balance training will help improve your hip, knee, and ankle strength for a greater sense of stability. I will use a Yoga block and strap in a few sequences, but they can be eliminated if necessary.
This class features Pilates positions with the addition of many chest, back, shoulder, and arms exercises with the band. The mini ball will be used also as a prop for many of the core exercises from Pilates. This workout is for all levels, as there are plenty of modifications given throughout.
This classic Pilates class will feature seated, supine, side-lying, and prone exercises using the small sponge ball for added comfort and resistance. A slower, methodical pace will be taken in this class to ensure ease into transitions. Work the "powerhouse" with this core training workout!
