Experience an alignment-based Yoga practice designed to incorporate multi-joint isometric resistance training. It is often difficult to strengthen the upper body in many poses, so this workout will incorporate dumbbells. The added resistance from the free weights will challenge elbow, wrist, and shoulder muscles to make poses feel totally different.
Many times the weights will help to redirect forces into muscles and alter the "feel" of many poses. I will be using 5 and 8 pound weights so that I can focus on squeezing my muscles for longer periods of time while holding posture.
All levels welcome. Eliminate the weights any time it is too difficult.
