On Day 4 of the Osteoporosis Solution, experience an integrated approach to isometric resistance training as we progressively load our skeleton to combat bone loss. This routine will help you strengthen core muscles and help give you improved spinal stability.
The cornerstone of any Yoga practice is spinal health. The stronger your core, the more freedom you will feel inside your body. In this routine, I will teach some of the most effective postures for spinal mobility and strength. In these poses, you will take an integrated approach, performing many isometric contractions against Yoga blocks, Yoga Straps, the floor, the mat, and bodyweight itself.
The focus of these exercises is to address spinal muscles in all planes of motion, including the hips. If you are dealing with a fragile spine, make sure to limit your rotation. Many times, no rotation at all is necessary. Yoga props will be used to help you access muscle contractions in various postures. Maintain even breathing and be kind to yourself.
This routine is full of information and modifications so that anyone can participate. We will perform forward bends, backbends, sidebends, and twists. Feel taller, stronger and more stable with a renewed state of energy after this practice!
