The practice of Hatha Yoga can be extremely beneficial to relieve back pain if approached correctly. This is largely due to the fact that Yoga poses focus on core strength, are isometric in nature, and require mindful movement / static holds. In this routine, we will use supine hip poses, prone backbending poses, standing balance poses, and targeted multi-joint triangle-like postures to help strengthen common areas associated with core strength.
Through this workout, listen to the cues given and modify whenever necessary. This is not a passive stretching routine, but a diagnostic approach to improving muscular balance. A chair, yoga blocks, and strap will be used to develop many of the positions. All levels welcome.
