Getting adequate rest is an essential part of our health. This is a time for our body to repair tissues, clear toxins in the brain, lower blood pressure, lower the heart rate, and get us ready for a new day. Sleep can help prevent excess weight gain, heart disease, and increased illness duration.
In this gentle routine, spend 30 minutes moving with your body as you observe your breath and visit your muscles. As you locate pockets of tension, we will perform light isometrics to lower pain and discomfort. Notice how we actually can better process our emotions when we are moving our body methodically. This routine is entirely on the ground with no props needed. We will focus on the spine, hips, shoulders, and neck. As you wind down, experience a relaxation segment at the end to send you off into dreamland!
Note: Blankets and pillows can be used in this routine for support and comfort. This routine can be done any time you need some restoration.
