Video 221 | Therapeutic Workout for Shoulders (35 Minutes) with Lauren Eirk
Shoulder • 07-Jun-2021
It is often difficult to know what to do with our shoulders if we are dealing with loss of function and pain. This video will give you an array of exercises that can be options for you. Some of the primary motions in the shoulder include elevation, depression, retraction, and protraction. The arm moves with the shoulder blades and collar bones (clavicles) as our trunk and spine participates. Using an inertia-free TheraBand , choose the tension you prefer to safely progress basic shoulder exercises from simple to complex. There are many cues and modifications given to adjust the exercises for you.
The gliding disks are also used to help add resistance as you move through shoulder motions. You can decide on how hard you want to push into the floor and how far you move. In general, as we get stronger, we can move better. Joints are made to move, and we need to move safely.
