On the fourth day of the Back Pain Solution plan, we will be moving through some non-moving isometric exercises to keep inflammation at bay using a variety of joint positions in the trunk and spine.
No equipment is needed for this routine. The focus is to observe our joint range of motion at this point in the 7 Day Plan, including our ability to create tension in our muscles. You may notice your range of motion improving and pain diminishing.
Something to remember: When we have been in one position for a while, such as prolonged sitting, it is common to suffer from lower back tightness and stiffness. These exercises are the foundation of pain-free movement. They can be done before you exercise, after a long day, when you first wake up, or any time you need to as you practice self care!
