We are off to day two in the Christmas Core Challenge, as we focus on the abs and back using the sponge ball. The primary focus is flexion and extension, which enables us to create complimentary routines. The ball will create some fun variations on traditional exercise and offer support / resistance.
1. Crunch-Leg Raise combo
2. Leg raises with adduction
3. Supine crunches with adduction
4. Arm-to-leg reach across R/L
5. Reverse crunch with sponge ball
6. Isometric reverse crunch with sponge ball
7. Single leg glute bridge with knee flexion R/L
8. Quadruped Hip Extension with sponge ball
9. Prone Extension with ball handoff
10. Forearm plank with adduction
11. Roll-down with adduction
Modify whenever necessary and listen to the cues for coordinating breathing with each exercise.
